Our mission is to develop and administer programs to enhance the safety and quality of life for children, youth, and families through a quality, comprehensive continuum of care in the fields of social services, education, corrections, mental health, and housing.
We provide a variety of supportive services through our children’s crisis stabilization unit, housing and case management programs, homeless youth outreach services, homeless shelters, and low-income housing to children, adolescents, young adults and families in need of treatment, housing, or support. Established by local individuals with a sincere interest in the welfare of children at risk, RGH has continued to grow and respond to the changing needs of the State of Maine and our local community. We have added community-based case management programs and in recent years we have seen tremendous growth in our Homeless Programs Division.
