Meetings at The HILLS Recovery Center

At The HILLS Recovery Center, we embrace and support the multiple pathways to recovery approach. We know that there is no one-size-fits-all solution to overcoming substance use disorder, and each individual’s journey is unique. That’s why we are dedicated to offering an expanding variety of meetings and group opportunities for those seeking or already in recovery. Whether you resonate with 12-step programs, SMART Recovery, Yoga classes, All-Recovery Meetings, or any other pathway, we have you covered. Our diverse range of meetings ensures that you can find the support and resources that align with your personal preferences and needs.

Our mission is to provide a safe and supportive space where individuals can connect with others who understand their experiences, share their journey, and find inspiration. SMART Recovery

SMART Recovery (Self-Management and Recovery Training) is a global organization that offers an alternative approach to addiction recovery. It is a science-based program that emphasizes self-empowerment, self-reliance, and self-directed change. SMART Recovery utilizes cognitive-behavioral therapy techniques and tools to help individuals overcome addictive behaviors and lead fulfilling lives. The program focuses on building and maintaining motivation, coping with urges and cravings, managing emotions and thoughts, and leading a balanced and sustainable lifestyle.

SMART Recovery meetings provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment for individuals to learn and practice these strategies, exchange ideas, and gain encouragement from others on the recovery journey. By promoting self-empowerment and the development of practical skills, SMART Recovery equips individuals with the resources they need to achieve long-term recovery from addiction or cope with the addiction of a loved one.

Yoga

Yoga, as a holistic practice, offers numerous benefits in recovery. It provides a physical, mental, and spiritual approach to healing. Physically, yoga helps individuals in recovery restore their overall health by improving flexibility, strength, and balance. The practice also aids in reducing stress and anxiety, which are common triggers for relapse. Through mindful breathing techniques and meditation, yoga cultivates self-awareness and promotes emotional resilience, enabling individuals to better cope with cravings, triggers, and negative emotions. Additionally, yoga encourages a spiritual connection and a sense of purpose, filling the void that substance abuse may have left behind.

Our yoga class, taught by Katey Branch from Halls Pond Healing Arts, fosters a supportive and non-judgmental community, offering a network of individuals committed to wellness and building a strong foundation for lasting sobriety. Attend 3 classes and get a free mat and yoga block set!
