The Emergency Services Communication Bureau is the state agency responsible for 9-1-1 in Maine. We are proud to announce that as of July 23, 2014, 100 percent of Maine’s population is now served by a Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) system. The completion of the installation makes Maine one of the first states in the nation to deploy a statewide NG9-1-1 system based on the National Emergency Number Association standard known as i3.
