We plan to hold a few Recovery Coach trainings to increase the number of Coaches who can help support Project Save ME. Are you a caring, responsible individual who wants to help people with substance use disorder to find treatment and recovery? If so, please download this application, print it off, fill it out (all pages!) and send it our way. If you need a printed application mailed to you, please call 739-6222 and ask for Emily Eastman. We’ll schedule trainings according to the preferences of people who apply. This means we’ll be working to schedule trainings in places and at times that work for the most people. Ideally, we’d like to schedule one training each in the River Valley, Oxford Hills, and Sacopee Valley regions so that we have Recovery Coaches spread across the area.
Trainings are held across several days, totaling 32 hours. This may seem like a lot to ask, but this small gift of time can help to make huge difference in the lives of people who need help.
If an applicant has experienced substance use disorder before, he or she needs to have one year of recovery under their belts before being considered for a Recovery Coach position. Applicants should be compassionate, responsible, and discrete (able to maintain the privacy and trust of Recoverees).
Please feel free to pass the word along to friends and family that you think would make good Recovery Coaches. The need for recovery is great, and we want to train more people in Western Maine to help meet that need. Apply today for this training. It just might lead to saving a life.
