At the October WMARI meeting we discussed the impacts that the opioid crisis is having on children, creating challenges for families like who will take care of children when a parent or guardian is away receiving treatment, or incarcerated. One of our members suggested that a program called Safe Families for Children can be an option when a family has no one else to turn to for care for children.
