The slow, controlled movements of Tai Chi have been described as “meditation in motion”. As many people in recovery from substance use can experience turbulent emotions, the sense of mental and physical calmness produced by Tai Chi help to keep emotions in balance. Many people notice they feel more relaxed and most also experienced an enhanced mood after completing a class.
