Keynote Presentation by Haner Hernández, Ph.D., CPS, CADCII, LADCI – A respected leader and nationally recognized expert in recovery, known for his impactful work in promoting culturally responsive care and breaking down barriers to treatment.

An update from the State of Maine’s Director of Opioid Response Gordon Smith – An overview of the state’s ongoing efforts to combat the opioid crisis and reduce overdose deaths.

The conference will also feature a range of expert-led presentations including: an overview of the MaineMOM Program’s compassionate care for mothers and newborns affected by substance use,the critical role of peer support in building recovery-ready communities, innovative harm reduction approaches in healthcare presented by physicians from local Comprehensive Addiction Medicine Programs, and new efforts to support youth and strengthen prevention initiatives.
