Join us for the 9th Annual Western Maine Recovery Rally!

📅 Date: Sunday, September 21st
🕚 Time: 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
📍 Locations: Begins at The HILLS Recovery Center, 15 Tannery Street, Norway, ME
Ends at Moore Park in South Paris, ME

Come celebrate hope, recovery, and community spirit at Oxford Hills’ largest annual recovery event! Everyone’s welcome – whether you’re personally connected to recovery or simply want to show your support, we’d love to have you join us.

As part of SAMHSA’s National Recovery Month, this rally is your chance to stand in solidarity with other recovery allies or recover out loud for yourself. Enjoy food, freebies, and FUN while raising awareness that recovery is possible!

Event Highlights:
📢 Rally March: Gather at 11:00 AM at The HILLS Recovery Center to pick up your free rally t-shirt (while supplies last) and rally sign! At 11:30 AM, we’ll kick off a unified march through town, escorted by local police, to Moore Park in South Paris.
The march is about 2 miles, but no worries if you can’t walk that far! We will have a truck available for attendees who want to sit. We also welcome you to meet us at the park around 12:30pm if you’d prefer!
🎤 Inspiring Speakers: Hear powerful stories of recovery from individuals who have walked the path of addiction and found their way to healing. You’ll also hear from supportive local legislators and representatives who are passionate about making a difference in our community.
🍔 Lunch & Resource Tables: After the speakers, stick around for a family-friendly celebration at Moore Park! Enjoy a free BBQ lunch including burgers, hot dogs, salad, chips, soda, and ice cream sandwiches. Visit resource tables to learn more about local organizations and pick up some freebies!
🎈 Kid Zone & Family Fun: The rally features a kid-zone with volunteers dedicated to keeping our young rally attendees entertained. Activities include face painting, a temporary tattoo station, hula hooping, bubbles, and art projects.
🦋 Butterfly Memorial: Visit our annual butterfly memorial, a beautiful display in the park featuring hundreds of butterflies, as we honor and remember the lives of Mainers who tragically lost their lives to opioid overdose last year. We also invite you to design a rock to take home, or donate for our memorial garden at The HILLS.
🚗 Transportation: We’ve got you covered! Transportation back to Norway will be provided after the event. If you’re coming from the River Valley region, transportation will also be available.
🌧️ Rain or Shine: We’re doing this, no matter the weather! Rain location for lunch and speakers TBA.
This event is 100% FREE and open to all! No need to register, but we encourage you to RSVP on Facebook to stay updated on the latest details and schedule changes. Let’s show the world that recovery is possible, and it starts with community support.  See you there!
