3rd Annual Western Maine Recovery Rally

September 29, 2018 @ 7:00 am - 11:00 am

The Recovery Rally will again involve a unified march from downtown Norway, where people will gather at 11:00am at the Unitarian Universalist Church at 479 Main St. Free t-shirts and signs to carry during the march will be available upon arrival (with shirts available on a first-come, first served basis). At 11:30, the crowd will begin a march to Moore Park in South Paris where a rally will be held with music and free food. Police escorts will accompany the marchers to help keep everyone safe and to show support for the event. From 1:00–2:30pm rally speakers will share powerful personal stories about how their lives have been shaped by addiction, loss, and recovery. After the speakers, there will be time to talk to one another and play lawn games as we celebrate recovery. The event will conclude at 3:30pm, with transportation to take people back to their vehicles in Norway. In the event of inclement weather, the rally will be moved from Moore Park to the Paris Fire Department at 137 Western Avenue in Paris.

Transportation is available! There will be transportation to and from the Rally in the Mexico and Fryeburg areas.

Meet at the following places at 10am:
Common Ground Counseling, 89 Main Street, Mexico
